The attraction, which took three years to build, is on Hengqin Island, near Macao, and features seven theme areas, each representing a part of the ocean, as well as rides, hotels, a 5D cinema and a circus. It cost a reported US$5 billion to build. It features the world’s biggest aquarium. It showcases what it claims is the world’s longest roller coaster. And it boasts a massive collection of whales, sharks and animals rarely, if ever, seen in captivity in China. A 1000-metre Grand Canal connects the hotel to the Ocean Kingdom, and guests can take water taxis which run in between. Owned by the Chime-Long Group, which runs China’s biggest theme park Chime-Long Paradise, in Guangzhou. Ocean Kingdom is about twice the size of Hong Kong’s Ocean Park and three times the size of the city’s Disneyland.

The view of Las Vegas has changed with the world’s largest, tallest observation wheel, the High Roller at the LINQ. It is a 550-foot tall and 520-foot diameter giant Ferris wheel on the Las Vegas Strip.It was opened to the public on March 31, 2014, and is the world’s tallest Ferris wheel. It holds 40 passengers in each of 28 pods. The price of a High Roller ride is just too expensive. A basic daytime ticket originally ( 30-minute ride, the time taken for the entire wheel to rotate once) cost $24.95, and a ride after 6 p.m. runs $10 more. Kids 12y and under are free with a paying adult.

Salar de Uyuni is covering 10,582 square kilometers in the Potosi region. The salt is over 10 meters thick in the center. Some 40.000 years ago, the area was part of Lake Minchin, a giant prehistoric lake. When the lake dried, it left behind two modern lakes, Poopó and Uru Uru, and two major salt deserts, Salar de Coipasa and the larger Salar de Uyuni. It is one of the landscapes on planet Earth where you may feel that you are somewhere else in the universe entirely. At the edge of Salar de Uyuni is located salt hotel called Palce of Salt. It is built of salt blocks.

The Guinness Book of Records has named the vast pool beside the sea in Chile as the biggest in the world. The pool is 1 km (0.62 mi) long, covering 8 ha (20 acres), containing some 250,000,000 litres of seawater, with a maximum depth of 35 m (115 ft). It uses water pumped, filtered, and treated from the Pacific Ocean. The pool was developed by Chilean company Crystal Lagoons, and opened in December 2006. While early estimates put the total cost of construction at about US$3.5 million for the filtration system alone, more recent estimates are in the area of US$1.5 billion to US$2 billion total for construction and almost US$4 million in annual maintenance. Chile\’s monster pool uses a computer-controlled suction and filtration system to keep fresh seawater in permanent circulation, drawing it in from the ocean at one end and pumping it out at the other. The sun warms the water to 26c, nine degrees warmer than the adjoining sea.

Miniatur Wunderland can not be explored in a few of minutes. You need to come early in the morning and leave in the very last minute. The whale shark is a non-aggressive creature that poses no threat to swimmers, snorkelers or scuba divers. The largest confirmed individual had a length of 12.65 metres (41.50 ft) and a weight of more than 21.5 tonnes (47,000 lb). The shark has distinctive light-yellow markings on its very thick, dark gray skin. It is a filter feeder and can neither bite nor chew. These feeder eat plankton, krill, fish eggs, small fish, salp, jellyfish and coral spawn. Although its mouth can stretch to four feet wide, Whale sharks are slow swimmers, moving at speeds of no little more than 3 miles per hour.
