Here are some basic tips for desert driving technique, first rule is drive slow and easy and watch out for wildlife. If you try to drive too fast, you’ll damage tires, break things, second, stay on the top of, not in, the ruts. Put your vehicle in 4-wheel drive before you need it, and shift to low range early to reduce the strain on your vehicle. Range Rover did some desert testing on the Evoque to make sure it can still perform no matter how hot it really gets. Here are some pictures of it being tested in the desert.

To show off what the new ride can do, Land Rover sent us to southern Utah, where we took a drive through the desert on our way to a rock-covered, sandy, muddy, snowy day of off-road driving.
