Italia in Miniatura is the Italian historical, architectural and cultural heritage theme park, which has blended fun and learning since 1970. The park displays 273 miniatures of famous Italian and European buildings in scale 1:25 and 1:50. The area is surrounded by Arcobaleno, a monorail. 10,000 plants and 5,000 miniature trees are integrated in the landscape. To fill the water basins 2,500 m3 of water are needed. All the miniatures displayed in the park are made by General Display, the lab where fifteen experts, among them expert craftsmen, work a special type of resin and transform it in beautiful and ready-made miniature monuments.

Louis XIII’s former hunting lodge was transformed and extended at his son’s request, to house the seat of the royal court and the French government. The palace is surrounded by equally grand gardens overflowing with flowers, neatly trimmed hedges, statuary and fountains. At 100 hectare, the garden of the Versailles Palace is Europe\’s largest palace garden. It was created in the 17th century by landscape gardener André Le Nôtre. The Chateau de Versailles is generally open Tuesdays through Sundays.
