Many legendary names of jazz first came to South America, traveling 12,000 kilometers, only to attend a festival that takes place in the Uruguayan contryside International Jazz Festival took place Jan. 8-11 at Finca El Sosiego, Punta Ballena, Punta del Este, Uruguay. The festival, which has been held since 1996, is produced and directed by Francsico Yobino. The musical director is Paquito D’Rivera, who will perform.
