The graffiti festival, among the most important in Italy, returned to Milan, this year stronger than ever. Looperfest and ZuArtDay 2018, on the facades of the B & B Zuretti 61.

Technically, graffiti is considered to be drawings, paintings, or other markings on surfaces in public places. The Writing on the Wall gangs use as their street “telegraph,” sending messages about turf and advertising their exploits. Graffiti identifies territorial boundaries, lists members, and communicates threats to rival gangs. Each year millions of dollars are spent to clean up graffiti.

Graffiti artists are faceless and anonymous by necessity. They hide behind a tag.
