Complex opens daily at 9 a.m. with closing times varying by season. Admission is $50 + tax for adults and $40 + tax for children ages 3-11.

Nepal also contains Mount Everest (29,035 ft; 8,850 m), the tallest mountain in the world and eight of the world’s 10 highest peaks. Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. It is the largest metropolitan city in the country, covering an area of 19.6 square miles. The estimated population of the city is 989,273. Nepali is the official language of Nepal; it is derived from Sanskrit and was formerly known as Khaskura. Other languages spoken in the country are: Tharu, Gurung, Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Kiranti, Tamang, Sherpa, Magar, Limbu Hinduism is the official religion of Nepal and Shiva is worshiped as the major deity. Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, and Christianity are the other religions practiced in the country. The country is absolutely beautiful. The landscapes here are stunning.
