British pianist and vocalist Jamie Cullum mixes jazz with melodic pop and rock into a crossover style that calls to mind such artists as Harry Connick, Jr. and Norah Jones. He also accompanies himself on instruments including guitar and drums. As a teenager, Jamie Cullum played drums in a hip-hop group and also played guitar in bands named Raw Sausage and The Mystery Machine. He has said that Miles Davis and Tom Waits are amongst his biggest influences.

During National Police Week, the U.S. recognizes the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement and pays tribute to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. O.A.R. transformed itself from a group of neighborhood friends band to a chart-topper over the course of a long career. Formed in 1996 in Rockville, MD, O.A.R. coalesced around lead singer/rhythm guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, saxophonist Jerry DePizzo, bassist Benj Gershman, and drummer Chris Culos. Marc Roberge and Richard On from O.A.R. performed an acoustic set at a small exclusive event hosted by LivingSocial at their Washington DC Headquarters at 918 F Street.

He was raised with help from his grandfather, who served in Patton’s army, and his grandmother, who worked her way up from the secretarial pool to middle management at a bank. Barack Obama was elected president on Nov. 4, 2008, becoming the first African-American to claim the highest office in the land, an improbable candidate fulfilling a once-impossible dream. He is the first president elected from Chicago.

It is the world\’s tallest stone structure without steel beams and the world’s tallest obelisk. The monument is made of marble, granite, and bluestone gneiss. It is 555 feet 5,5 inches (169.294 m) tall structure.
