The Pyramids of Egypt were built as tombs for Kings. The largest pyramids of Egypt, The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Kafhre and the Pyramid of Menkaura are located in Giza Valley. Pyramids are dedicated to a different kings of Egypt. The Pyramid of Khufu has a base which covers 392,000 square feet. The Pyramid of Menkaura has granite covering one tier of its base. The Pyramid of Khafre had a two-tiered base encased in granite. The Pyramids of Menkaura, Khufu, and Kafhre were not completed before the kings died. The largest pyramids in Giza considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
