The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It is devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. The Cloisters is located on 4 acres in Manhattan’s Fort Tryon Park, overlooking the Hudson River. Opened in 1938, this modern structure built in modified medieval style incorporates elements of five medieval buildings dating from the 12th through the 15th centuries, including chapels, monastic abbeys and a chapter house. The permanent collection at the Cloisters includes more than 5,000 pieces of European art, dating from 800 to 1600 ce, with the 12th through the 15th centuries being strongly represented. The displays are primarily organized chronologically. The objects include sculptures, statuary, paintings, and stained-glass windows.

The New York International Auto Show is an annual auto show that is held in Manhattan in April. The biggest automotive show on the East Coast at the Jacob Javits Convention Center with the 2019 event took place from April 17-18 for members of the press, and from April 19 through 28 for the public. From a $4 million Bugatti to a hypercar that can hit 300 mph, this year\’s New York Auto Show had plenty to dazzle. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing has been labeled as the world’s greatest single day hike. Lava flows, an active crater, steam vents, emerald-coloured lakes and magnificent views combine to make this an unforgettable walking journey. The 19.4km hike high into a volcanic alpine environment is a must-do in New Zealand but does require a bit of preparation. The weather can change quickly and unexpectedly in any alpine environment. At times conditions can be extreme. Be prepared for every type of weather. Tongariro National Park is a UNESCO dual World Heritage Area and was the first in the world to receive cultural World Heritage Status.

Located in Christchurch at the former RNZAF Base at Wigram, the Air Force Museum of New Zealand provides a fascinating insight into the history of the RNZAF from its formation to the present day. With over 28 beautifully restored aircraft on display, interactive exhibitions and even a flight simulator. The Museum also has a Mosquito Flight Simulator, which features a mission based on the Allied bombing of German battleships in the Norwegian fiords.

The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to comics, graphic novels, anime, video games, toys, movies, and television. New York Comic Con is the second largest pop culture convention in America and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media, and licensing capital of the world — Gotham City. Celebrated Chinese New Year and the Year of the Ram at West Edmonton Mall. This two-day event featured a marketplace plus a showcase of Chinese performers. The Edmonton Chinatown Multicultural Centre also celebrating 30 years in Edmonton and hosted the annual celebration and festival as a way to increase understanding and promote an appreciation of Chinese culture.

New Zealand has become synonymous with the Middle-earth of JRR Tolkien’s famous books since the release of the blockbuster Lord of the Rings film trilogy, directed by New Zealander Sir Peter Jackson. On the most picturesque private farmland you can visit the Hobbiton Movie Set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies in a fascinating two-hour guided tour. Due to copyright, all the intricately constructed movie sets around the country were dismantled after filming, but Hobbiton’s owners negotiated to keep their hobbit holes, which have been completely rebuilt for the filming of The Hobbit.

Chinese New Year begins according to the Chinese calendar which consists of both Gregorian and lunar-solar calendar systems. Because the track of the new moon changes from year to year, Chinese New Year can begin anytime between late January and mid-February. The Lunar New Year is the biggest and the most significant celebration in China being observed worldwide by the Chinese. Each year in the Chinese calendar has a corresponding zodiac animal, and today marks the turnover from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse.

This is how you move house in New Zealand. The tractor on the right is ploughing a track/exit for the truck to manoeuvre the house onto the road for the journey up State Highway 45. The cost of moving the house will depend mainly on the time it takes, which depends in turn on the route to be travelled, the size of the house and the degree of difficulty. It can range from a few thousand dollars to move a single-piece house, with the price increasing for the number of pieces, location and difficulty.

It is an all-new car, with technological innovations. The new Ford Mondeo release date has been pushed back to the end of 2014. It is more than two years after the car was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show. The new Ford Mondeo will come with the option of two different petrol-electric powertrains: one a traditional hybrid and the other a plug-in hybrid. The plug-in Energi and Hybrid both share a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, but the Energi boasts a larger battery pack, and will be able to travel on electric power for around 20 miles. The new Mondeo measures 4,869mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,476mm tall – about the same size as the current car – but it’s four centimetres lower.
