The dream car for many restorers is this muscle car. Cadillac produced a Sedan de Ville in 1968. The Sedan de Ville was equipped with four doors and considered as full-size automobile. The 1968 de Ville was offered only with the 472-cubic-inch big-block V-8. The 472 featured a 4.30-inch bore and a 4.06-inch stroke. Its compression ratio was 10.5:1. The 472 produced 375 horsepower at 4,400 rpm and 525 foot-lbs. of torque at 3,000 rpm. The engine block was made of cast iron and featured a hydraulic camshaft and a four-barrel Rochester carburetor.
