It is impossible to confuse with any other species, the ring-tailed lemur has a distinctive long and bushy black-and-white-ringed tail. The Ring-tailed Lemur is found in the dry forests and bush of southern and south-western Madagascar. It is one of twenty-two species of lemurs. Lemurs are best known for their large, round reflective eyes and their wailing screams. Lemurs also have furry, pointed ears and long tails.
