The Ayutthaya Historical Park

Park is the ruins of the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam. It was one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated cities until it was sacked by the Burmese in 1756. Ayutthaya was the center of the Ayutthaya Kingdom for 417 years. It is filled with palaces, temples and religious monuments of great historical and cultural significance. Ayutthaya Historical Park comprises four temples – Wat Phra Ram, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana – the Royal Palace and Wiharn Phra Mongkol Bophit.
