Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute is one of the most photographed structures in Venice. The church was built in the 17th century after a deadly wave of the plague had passed. The most important event for which Venice is famous for in the world is definitely the Carnival. Venice Carnival is steeped in history, charm and tradition. Masks have always been a main feature of the Venetian carnival. The origin of the carnival in Venice dates back to the XIII century.
