The overall shape reminds little bit Audi R8 supercar. And the price … acura says it will cost more than the Nissan GT-R, which already starts near $100,000.

The BMW Concept i3 is the first premium electric plug-in city car, while the i8 Concept is a hybrid plug-in and combustion engine sports car. BMW demonstrates how the future of sustainable and yet dynamic mobility might look. The i8 is based on the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept from 2009. i8 combines the electric drive system from the BMW i3 Concept with the innovative plug-in hybrid concept. It has a high-performance three-cylinder combustion engine which produces 164kW/220 hp and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) at its rear. The Seat IBL concept car represent how the next generation of Seat Toledo will look. The SEAT IBL has been designed to fit into the sports sedan category. At 4.67 metres long and 1.85 metres wide, the SEAT IBL falls into the full-size sedan market. At the front, the IBL is characterized by the full LED headlamps and by the arrow, a core element of the brand’s design recalled by the hood and the five-sided grille. The side view is dominated bythe large 20-inch wheels which have a sophisticated design featuring single and double spokes. The rear end features sharply-cut LED lights, a bumper indicated by just a character and a finely sculpted rear diffuser.

The Jeep Hurricane is a concept car unveiled by Daimler-Chrysler at the 2005 North American International Auto Show. It is the most maneuverable, most capable and most powerful 4×4 ever built. The Hurricane is powered by two extremely powerful 5.7-liter HEMI engines, one in the front and one in the back. Each of these engines yields 335 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque for a combined rating of 670 hp and 740 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle features a turn radius of absolutely zero, thanks to the ability to turn both front and rear tires inward.

The Karma use a plug-in hybrid technology – called Q DRIVE – developed by Quantum Technologies, which will serve as a basis for all future models from Fisker. The main idea of the Q DRIVE system is that a small gasoline engine turns the car generator, which charges the lithium ion batteries, powering the electric motor and driving the rear wheels.

One word – amazing! Alfa Romeo GTA 4C Concept was presented in Geneva Motor Show 2011. Despite of expectations is not an open roadster, but a baby version of the beautiful and sinfully expensive 8C Competizione. Carbon fiber and aluminum construction helps keep the weight down to below 850 kilograms (1873 lbs). The 1750cc, direct-injection turbo four from the Giulietta QV mounted amidship drives over 200 horsepower via Alfa’s TCT dual-clutch transmission to the rear wheels. So, we have a car with an extremely high fun factor. Alfa 4C could lead the company’s long-awaited return to the North American market.

Nobody expected this. There was no advance notice. There were no empty promises. There is no turning back: the future of motorsports began for Porsche in 2010. After several races we could well say: mission accomplished, theory substantiated. But that’s not enough for us. Our most important finding: Sports car can do more. Porsche is continuing to extend its performance and high efficiency competence via intensive development work in the field of technology. With the Porsche 918 spyder, the manufacturer of sporty premium vehicles is presenting a high-end synthesis of 2010\’s successful concepts. The two-seater mid-engine coupé 918 is transferred to a modern, innovative super sports car. The 3.4 litre V8 engine (500 hp/370 kW) is a development of the engine used in the RS Spyder Le Mans Prototype racing car. This is supplemented by three electric motors delivering an additional 218 horsepower (163 kW). The transmission is a 7-speed gearbox coupled to Porsche\’s own (PDK) double clutch system delivering power to the rear axle. This gives the 918 Spyder a 0–100 km/h time in just under 3.2 seconds and a top speed of over 320 kilometres per hour (200 mph). The energy storage system is a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery positioned behind the passenger cell. In addition to the plug-in recharge the batteries can also be charged by regenerative braking and by excess output from the engine when the car is coasting. CO2 emissions are 70 g/km and fuel consumption is 3 L/100 km (94 imperial mpg/78 us mpg).

The Eliica is a battery electric vehicle concept car first shown in 2004 and designed by a team at Keio University in Tokyo, led by Professor Hiroshi Shimizu. The 17 ft (5.1 m) car runs on a lithium-ion battery and can accelerate from 62 mph (0–100 km/h) in 4 seconds. In 2004, the Eliica reached a speed of 230 mph (370 km/h) on high speed track. The Eliica weighs in at 5,300 lb (2,400 kg) and seats the driver and three passengers. The projected price was about $255,000 USD.
