Anime Expo takes place in Los Angeles, California USA every year usually on the first week of July. It is organized by the non-profit Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation. Anime Expo features many events and activities during the convention for attendees to take part in such as guest panels, table top gaming, competitions, an arcade, and concerts. Popular large events include the Masquerade, Anime Music Video Contest, Concerts, Battle of the Bands, and the AX Fashion Show.

Anime Revolution 2014 was a three-day convention hosted in the Vancouver Convention Center, Canada. Catering to a wide range of activities, exhibits, panels, and performances. These included art, animation, comics, costuming, cultural displays, dance, gaming, musical performances, and others. Anime is, however, more than just a cartoon to its fans. In a Japanese series, the characters traditionally have extremely large, doe-like eyes and spiky or long hair.

Toyama Light Rail put a “Railroad Girls Wrapped Train” into service in July 27. The 15 railroad girls are holding the same rope in their hands, which refers to both “densha gokko” and “every railroad girl in the country is linked together” at the same time. The wrapped train will be running until Sept. 30, the same duration as the stamp rally.
